A spike and a maul are needed to crack their shells, but the taste is worth the effort. :)

Doran, the Siege Tower really appreciates the lack of defender on this guy.
Yoked Ox --> Grizzled Leotau --> Doran --> Indomitable Ancients
Seems like a good curve.

The Theriad appears again! Also, that is the most defensive one-drop I have seen in a long, long time without the word "defender" in the rules text.

I'm kind of surprised, actually, that White didn't get a Kraken Hatchling before now, seeing as its creatures also tend to have higher Toughness than Power.

How could this have a rating below 3? It's a 1-drop with 4 toughness, and it doesn't even have defender.

Blocks Boros Reckoner without giving him any damage to redirect. Against hyper aggressive decks this avoids most of the burn (Save Mortars) and will most likely have to be killed by a burn spell after it has successfully blocked something. 4/5- Favorite P/T for vanilla creatures.

I really should go back through all the vanilla cards and read the Theriad.

Colorshifted Kraken Hatchling, a vanilla blue one-drop. Blue also gets Triton Shorethief, a colorshifted white vanilla. (Sanctuary Cat)

See, now Kraken Hatchling makes a lot more sense in white.
Also, Doran.
