It's not Centaur Battlemaster, but still a nice Heroic card for limited.

Ordeals basically turn into plain sorceries with this guy. Which is good.

Has anyone read the flavourtext?

Corpsejack Menace, Blessings of Nature, shenanigans.
I'm really excited to see some cool new pluscounter stuff in this set, I might finally try to make that Green/Black non-infect proliferate deck I've been dreaming up.

Its cost a bit, but using give on this guy will pump him up to 7/7 in one turn, which I think is worth it. I plan on making a W/G enchantment deck, and he will def be in it. Just run riot control and some other form of life gain whilst your building up your mana and getting your creatures out.

Great in draft and sealed, especially if you pair him with the cheap, 1-drop Red enchantments like Dragon's Mantle or Messenger's Speed.

I love the fact that Mortal's Resolve features this card, a card that benefits more than any other in Green (maybe except for Centaur Battlemaster).

I prefer this guy to the Centaur Battlemaster solely because you are investing LESS (4 CMC to 5 CMC)
i run 3 of this guy but only 1 of the centaur Battlemaster in a casual U/G deck I'm building. Plus I'm focusing on the fight Mechanic so i target either of them (Staunch-Hearted Warrior or Centaur Battlemaster) then they fight someone (Prey Upon, Time to feed, Mutants Prey). Fun :)

This card is OK. Just OK. And, BTW, staunch-hearted warrior is not a "guy." Check the flavor text.
