Creative #1: Ok, so we need to re-concept Sorin's Thirst so it can be used in planes unrelated to Sorin. It's just too restricting, especially now that Sorin has been tied to the plane of Innistrad. Any ideas?
Creative #2: Pharika's Thirst! I mean uh... Cure!
Creative #1: Perfect! I can't imagine we'll ever need to rename it again.

Hi, Sorin's Thirst! I'm glad it is you and not Vicious Hunger.

I really like this card. It can be used as early game removal, reset a Thoughtseize, or even as an emergency late game heroic trigger. Really just a nice common.

Pharika may seem like a wise and all-knowing physician, but watch out for the False Cure's!

It cures things by doing damage to them?

Two damage to a creature and gaining two life for two mana seemed awesome and all, but... then I remembered Lightning Helix. Okay, so black isn't as good at direct damage as red, and not quite as good at lifegain as white, but it's still rather jarring.

In Limited this card actually can be considered removal as it will take out most early threats and leave you with two life. That's.. really about it.

There's better cards than this in Black for two mana

Healthcare is apparently not worth its price in Theros. I'd rather rely on real doctors than priests.
