Kill small protection creatures straight out or weaken a big creature so your other blockers can take it down.

This is a nice trick, but I would really only see myself playing this on turn one though. I mean you can really only use this against the aggro decks that want to get you to 10 life on turn three. This is legal in standard at the moment( as of June 2011), and I don't know why people aren't playing this. It is looks useful against the decks that use aggro staples like Goblin guide, but yet again you can't really see this being played against a deck like Cawblade. I good card all around.

Used to run this long ago in a control deck. "I'll play and attack you with a Ball Lightning " Uhhh... No you're not! DONK :D No need to even waste a Force of Will if your blue mana producing lands are tapped out.
Admittedly, I didn't get many chances to do that... but the thought of that sort of scenario was usually enough of a deterrent.
