Casting Cruel Ultimatum is best followed by casting more Cruel Ultimatums. Even in commander. Recursion is important.

Man, this thing is getting a ton of reprints. No need to guess why, it's ridiculously powerful. I can'y imagine coming back from that.

I think we can see that while SOME From the Vault is guaranteed to be held a bit more sacrosanct (for example, I think If they were ever to reprint Necropotence, we would get The Skull back), other arts (Sol Ring, Cruel Ultimatum, Aether Vial) seem to be almost guaranteed to get popular enough to be reprinted.

I give good odds on Shivan Dragon getting reprinted in his Vault Art. And I also think we should bless our souls that Jace, the Mind Sculptor did not receive new art. :P Not that he needed it. >.<

Easily my favorite sorcery in the game. This card hurts when it gets casted against you and you know your doom is impending fallowing it.

I play Cruel Control in Modern and this is the finisher. Every time I cast it, I feel like Samuel L. Jackson in Pulp Fiction reciting Ezekiel 23:10.
