potentially really good and all, but it takes patience to use these correctly that some players and decks won't have. it's not just about whether you're agro or control...it's about whether you're the type to habitually over-develop as a misplay or not. obviously, what to do with them is simple and immediate to figure out....but you'll not be sure when to 'pop' it.

I definitely like these lands. They have their place like anything else though I'm not convinced I'd use one in edh...there's something a little more risky about a loaded land sitting around. At the same time, it's just as easy not building it up too much and using the mana more often. Very neat though. I love the art of Calciform Pools. The colour-scheme is great.
