this card feels so naked without the reminder text

Great equipment in general, and excellent in Commander.

Giving hexproof to your most valuable creature is easily worth it at that cost.
And haste can be a great advantage as well if you have one spare mana for your latest creature,
particularly later when you topdeck one.

Aw. I would have rather seen a reprint of Lightning Greaves, as those are harder to get one's hands on and relevant slightly more often (though to be fair, nearly every EDH I make runs both). I know the greaves are outdated both because they're phasing out shroud and because Swiftfoot Boots is more fair, but that didn't stop them from packing Sol Ring over Thran Dynamo.

This would have been the perfect opportunity for flavor text, too.

Slightly underrated in my view. Two-drops are great early-game motion. Beyond surprise attacks, don’t forget Haste accelerates pace. First I use the Boots on Somberwald Sage to instantly repay the three mana spent on the Boots, then use it on on activated ability cards like Kiora’s Follower, Ulvenwald Tracker, and Elvish Piper.

Admittedly an ideal scenario, but imagine, I play Somberwald, and use the haste on Somberwald to play Elvish Piper, and use the haste on Elvish Piper to drop my beat-down buddy Drogskol Reaver. All for 2 mana on the Boots and 3 mana for Somberwald. That’s 3 killer cards down on turn 4-5, with Hexproof on the Piper. She’s gonna need it!

Mid game, in my creature-based deck, the hexproof becomes very sweet. At the very least, it will soak up some of their precious removal, complicate their defence, and keep a good creature like Vampire Nighthawk/aut... (see all)
