I actually built a Naya deck a few months ago, based around all the Power 5 effect cards and such.

It was pretty fun! This card got me more wins than anything except the creatures really, free damage for doing something you planned to already is nice enough. It was great to activate Mayael the Anima, find a Cliffrunner Behemoth, and do a total of 10 damage with 5 life back over the course of the turn.

Sure, it isn't really competitive, but it was a fun deck. This card seems like it'll do really well in EDH.

Not bad, but it isn't nearly as effective as Warstorm Surge.

Ancients stomping across the warzone has much more fitting flavour for Nature of the Beast than Warstorm Surge. The vorthos in me just can't bear to cut this card while I'm still willing to play Warstorm surge. However, bear in mind that Warstorm surge causes the creature to deal damage.

Fun fact #1: Ancients treading is damage from a red enchantment, not the creature triggering the red enchantment. No need to carry removal just in case of protection from creatures (which is common in my play group).

Fun fact #2: TRIBUTE. From Born of the Gods. Nessian Demolok and Flame-Wreathed Phoenix are just two tribute creatures that combine with where ancients tread to make the decision even harder.
