Timmy: Look Teacher I made a card!
Teacher: Didn't you learn your lesson after the Fleshmad Steed incident?
Timmy: ...ok...

This must be one of the ones who will fall in battle and need their shame removed from memory.

Pretty bad compared to Deathbellow Raider. And Walking Corpse. Remember guys, being a tribally relevant 2/2 for 2 doesn't call for a drawback!

Eh, I suppose Minotaur Tribal needed another two-drop. This was not the two-drop it needed, though. I fear it's even poor in limited, where a 2/2 that basically always should attack is quickly outpaced in a world of Nessian Asps and Ill-Tempered Cyclopses.

Bad bears are usually not very appealing, but this is one of only 2 2cmc minotaurs in standard, so its got that going for it.

Well, at least it isn't a Minotaur version of Mindless Null.

This card does not deserve to exist nor do people deserve to open it up after spending 4 dollars on a booster. Deathbellow Raider is the right way to make a 2-costing minotaur. This is the wrong way. If you're making a minotaur tribal deck and find yourself considering using a playset of these to fill out your deck, just toss your deck in the garbage instead. You don't need this card and it should never see play anywhere.

There's little going for this card. Honestly, I'd rather get a Fleshmad Steed than this in Limited.

In fact, you can list the pros and cons between the Steed and this and determine which is more effective:

PROS
- It's a Minotaur. Horses are not a very notable tribe.
- Because Theros is trying to be the second home to Theros (next to Ravnica and arguably Homelands), there are a bunch of things in this set that can help Minotaurs (Ragemonger, Rageblood Shaman, and Kragma Warcaller so far).
- Being unable to block is a lot less problematic than being tapped.
- Steed can become tapped if your opponent loses a creature

CONS
- There are 13 Minotaurs in the Theros block. That means there are a limited amount of creatures you could draft that can allow this to block.
- Most times a creature dies in Limited, it's during combat. Therefore, Steed doesn't become tapped before it can block that often.
- The art i... (see all)

I guess it'd be tolerable in a minotaur tribal deck, especially since Mogis decks have very little emphasis on blocking anyways. Still It really wouldn't have hurt to give it another point of power, and its frustrating how black essentially has no good common 2 drops right now.

It's not really that bad, with Ragemonger in play this becomes a 1-drop (althought at the beginning of the game you won't have ragemonger in play) and when you have other minotaurs such as Felhide Petrifier and Rageblood Shaman the drawback on a bear is justified I think. Sure, the drawback isn't even a drawback if you are playing minotaurs and Deathbellow Raider is still probably a better 2-drop, but it's not that horrible.
