Ball Lightning becomes a 10/1 trample + haste for 1RedRedRedRed for 1 glorious turn. 1 more Red gets you Assault Strobe for the double strike you need to really annoy your buddy who only has mana dorks. Though I suppose Blood Lust would be better in that situation for the same mana.

Between this, Xenagos, God of Revels, and Aspect of Hydra we have the potential for some REALLY big swings

Best on double strikers or guys with evasion. Still decent on tramplers or first strikers.

All in all... well, depends on the deck. I might play it in mono red limited, but not too often. Outside limited I'd probably fear the aura disadvantages too much.

How has no one mentioned Aurelia, the Warleader yet? You know it was worded that way to take advantage of extra combat steps.
