Probably overkill against anything Jace has in his deck.

Don't forget Autochthon Wurm. That 14 toughness is just enough to survive various methods of overkill.

Worldspine Wurm. Emrakul, the Aeons Torn. Autochthon Wurm. Marit Lage.
Barring protection (which Emrakul has regardless), hexproof/shroud, or any other means of untargetability, those four stand alone as the only creatures who can withstand a Tragic Slip... and all for the cost of one mana. To call it overkill is an understatement.

This card really made some waves when it first came out in Dark Ascension, so it's nice to see it get a reprint. Casual players will be happy to see the price drop below $0.75 for a common, too.
And although this might be overkill, it should be helpful when Jace's Krovikan Mist gets too big to kill with Vraska's smaller killspells.

Am I understanding this right? Is the flavor simply that the creature slips, and without a creature having died they simply hit the floor and get -1/-1, but if a creature died then there would be a grave dug out for it, which they slip into instead, giving them -13/-13?
