I'm a little disappointed that Vraska's deck only has 7 or 8 instants and sorceries for Spelltwine to choose from. Two of those cards have kicker costs that will be unusable with Spelltwine, and one of those cards (Treasured Find) will have a good chance of being exiled by the time you get the chance to steal it in the first place.

Don't get me wrong, Spelltwine is a wonderful, powerful card, but it just isn't all that effective against a creature-heavy deck like Vraska's.


Edit: I stand corrected, it looks like the kicker costs will be usable after all. That helps somewhat.

"If you cast a card "without paying its mana cost," you can't pay any alternative costs. You can pay additional costs such as kicker costs. If the card has mandatory additional costs, you must pay those."

Another great blue card. Always loved just how disastrous for the opponant this thing can become once it drops.

I am not sure this belongs in the Jace VS Vraska deck, though black removal is welcome to blue I am sure. I guess its just in because the deck can mill and this is a fun blue trick to play when graveyards are full.
