This guy is one of those cards that you can just set-it-and-forget-it. He doesn't do much, but what more do you want? You hardly have to build around him, he's just value all around.

This guy won me quite a few matches in the pre-release on Sunday. Combining him with some scrying that I also had in the deck I was able to set up a decent amount of good plays.

Probably the best of or of the best God's in terms of what they do as an enchantment alone. Keranos synergies with small burn spells like shock and magma jet, b/c he can combine with them to take out bigger threats later with his repeatable 3. The card advantage from the lands make top decking one feel so good :)

a very well-designed card. he scales to the type of deck you're playing. have a lot of lands? you probably wanted to draw cards anyway. aggressive with only a few lands? you probably wanted to bolt anyway.

I don't know but this seems really good as a commander.

Even granted that his ability doesn't count as commander damage he still gives some degree of inevitability as well as card draw. That being said though, using the damage ability might make people turn on you...

@Bryanfear: Commander damage is defined as only combat damage dealt by the commander.

You don't have to reveal all the cards you draw, only the first one you draw on your turn. Get lots of instant draw effects to refuel at the end of your opponent's turn and you'll be fine. Plus, revealing a few of your draws is a fun way to play mind games.

There's a lot of scrying going on in the Theros block, and especially a lot in blue and red. If you can get Keranos down, you can nicely set yourself up to make sure the extra effect you want is the card on top of your deck.

I'm considering building a standard deck around this and Flamespeaker Adept with that in mind.

@bryanfear Commander damage is only combat damage. Any damage outside of combat by commanders does not count.

My favorite god, if not the best.
Really good with miracle and scry.
