Honestly, I'm looking at it mostly for its graveyard ability.
I honestly think milling out might be a problem.

This card seems powerful, seeing as it gives you seven more cards per pack for your card pool. And its graveyard recursion isn't the best but it's not too bad at all.

But.. What happens when there are TWO drafted Canal Dredgers?
Now we get tricky.

Enjoy your Turn the Tide Quicksand Respite Scaled Wurm Plummet and Pillarfield Ox.

It's not terrible, but only the occasional card from this is going to be any good. The odd Wood Sage or Flamewright might show up I guess. The creature itself isn't awful either in a multiplayer format.

@MasterOfParadox- then you choose to which player you pass the card. Not tricky. The card says "a player", not "the player"...

Yes it is the last pick, but between 7 last picks, something could be playable. And his ability to recycle the fetch dudes, like Howling Wolf, will undeniably be excellent card advantage.

My question is with all the cards being passed to me, would I be "drafting" them? If so, then it could just more fodder for Cogwork Grinder.

I'm glad that for some of the cogwork guys, they gave them an interesting body and effect in addition to their draft ability. This card is like a Junktroller and I do love the flavor of him giving you junk during the draft and digging through it in the game.

cool idea, but honestly, who wanted those cards anyway?

I believe you are passed the card, then you draft that card, just as when you are passed a last card from a pack normally, you draft that card.
As I understand it, you would be able to feed the extra last picks from this into a Cogwork Grinder

Gatherer works better in the Companion app!
