Interesting, Reckless Spite is an instant but destroys two nonblack creatures. Not sure which one is better.
Nonartifact > Nonblack (I think). Exile > Destroy. Sorcery < Instant.

It will not work for Darksteel Colossus because it's an artifact.

Exile is relatively hard to get in black. As a 2 for 1, it's not bad.

The old man in the picture appeared to be the same one from Dust to Dust (5th edition).

If you want to hit Darksteel Colossus, try Return to Dust.

As far as this, to hell with suicide black. Hallow.

@Kryptnyt:

Hallow is better used AGAINST cards such as those. Spending mana on your own Earthquake or Chain Reaction and THEN Hallowing is not advisable, as Hallow prevents all damage from a spell, and the purpose of those spells is to kill all your opponents' creatures. And using Hallow on this is not like using a card to gain 5 life, it's like using a card to gain 10 life. You have to remember, you're nullifying the self-destructive part of this spell and THEN gaining 5 life as a topper. In this deck that I have, with a full playset of Ashes to Ashes and a full playset of Hallows, I also run two CoP: Blacks. A deck full of self-damaging black things (such as Flesh Reavers, Kezzerdrixes and this) is the only way I can justify using such a narrow card as CoP: Black. The ... (see all)

@MacBizzle
If you use hallow on this, its like using one card to gain 5 life. Circle of Protection: Black would be preferable, and Hallow is better used with things like Earthquake and Chain Reaction.
Edit; My point was, if you were using hallow on a mass-damaging spell, you would gain enough life to force your opponent to find a different way to kill you than through damage. Using Hallow when you cast Ashes to Ashes is the same as just casting a big Healing Salve, and it takes away from the function of the card. Ashes is good because it is a 2-for-1. Ashes+Hallow is only a sorcery speed 2-for-2 at four mana. It just doesn't get me excited.

Not bad. One of the few Black cards that can kill Black creatures and it RFGs them (no more pesky Darksteel Colossi). Also, it deals damage instead of life loss so it can be prevented by COP: Black.
