Low hand size tends to be a trait of (in appropriate color) suicide black. Could work well together but any 1 cmc discard spells should still be priority.

Seems like this would only be worth the cost if you could both see your opponent's whole hand with it, or maybe all but one card, and get it back. That's a pretty narrow window; their hand size in this scenario is at most three when the comparison is made, and trending down. Probably the hardest Pulse to use effectively.
