You must put two of those you draw back. Brainstorm let's you keep all three and put any two from your hand back.

It's only really good in decks that shuffle a lot, and even then, Sensei's Divining Top can be the better card, even though it costs mana to use. Mirri's Guile doesn't let you keep cards for hefty chunks of life, but its very similar.
There are however a few janky combos that go with this card, mostly replacement effects pertaining to card draw. Tomorrow, Azami's Familiar and Words of Wilding are a couple.
Sylvan Library is a card that has aged well, and at the same time, seen solid competitors. I think it deserves a solid 4.

nah ace, you can only use it once per turn. But I love the card, the effect is nice and fair, plus I love the art.

It's kinda like replacing your draw step with a brainstorm (you dig three cards deep into your library, then put two back), unless of course you pay 4 life per card. 4 life is a pretty high cost though.
