@Silver ware, it CAN be used to destroy an opponent's creatures. Not by itself, no, but with good timing and ether a damage source or another toughness reducer. In particular, if the creature already has damage on it, the toughness reduction will almost allways be fatal.

Great card for offensive play, the pro and con lay in the toughness effect becuse it makes sure to keep the creature its buffing from dying from the toughness loss. Sadly becuse of this it can't be used to destroy opponents creatures.

Fists of the Anvil is strictly better as a pump spell, and if you're using this plus a creature as removal, the +4 power part does just as well as the -4 thoughness. The only time this works as removal at all is when you use it with another spell, causing card disadvantage. I recommend using Fists of the Anvil and better removal instead.

There's no card disadvantage when blocking Blood Lusted Demonic Hordes with Tundra Wolves.

@Rubber:
Fists of the Anvil doesn't have as interesting flavor in a vampire deck, so Blood Lust certainly has its niche. More for players who like telling a story with their deck over simple strength.
