He has his place - there's no shame in being a sideboard card. No one ever speaks ill of Pyroblast or Teferi's Response.
If your opponent is running a morph-based deck (let's think contemporary, here,) then this guy will swing the game. If not, then yes, you're playing a rare Squire with better art. Just know when to use him.
