I think we need to be talking about the art on this card. I thought most of the new art for Fifth Edition was pretty good...but this...

"Ha ha, no one will reach me behind my massive wall...its nearly as tall as a medium sized tree...that's kind of floating here in the foreground...or something".

I agree with Lacunae on two points. This artwork deserves comment, and the art of 5th Edition was perhaps the best of any set, on the whole.

Of the various printings of this card, the 5th Edition is overall the best. For one, it still had the superior classic frame, which is generally more appealing to me. For another, the art combines with the frame for a superior aesthetic blend. The art itself is epic (though the art for the 8th Edition was not bad, either). Also, the way the flavor text is one block paragraph, occupying the text space to a nearly-full, very pleasing size, is much more satisfying than any other print of this card, and contributes to the card's blocky, stalwart feel. I love the way it all combines.

I think this card was in the first starter deck I ever bought. The card appealed to me then, and it will always hold a special place in my gamer's heart.

Gorgeous card.
