Card advantage and flexibility. Pretty useful card for black.

Allow me to explain the art:
The fat lady sang. For that guy, it's over :P
Anywho, Mind Rot when you need it, something else when you don't. Seems good to me :)

If you're playing this in mono-black discard this card is strictly better than Mind Rot because you can always cycle it if your opponent is out of cards. Of course if you're playing casual or something that Unburden would be allowed there are much better options.

Nice card but I don't understand the art.

@AlphaNumerical: well, in mono black decks, this is strictly better than Mind Rot, because you can cycle it when you don't need it. In a multicolored deck, however, it is easier to splash for Mind Rot than for Unburden.

Overall a pretty decent card. Basically, it's a slightly less splashable Mind Rot, but the Cycling means that it'll never be a "dead" card - you can always replace it with a new card from the top of your deck.

If you're playing a competitive mono black deck, you should consider Hymn to Tourach instead, but this is fine for casual games when you don't want your games to be only about winning...

This gets rid of one of the major weaknesses of Mind Rot, and that is that late-game, when you're both topdecking, this turns into something useful.

No reason to run Mind Rot over this, unless you're just splashing black.

Yes this is better than Mind Rot for mono black. However, just about everything is better than Mind Rot. Thoughtseize, Duress, Hymn to Tourach, Chain of Smog...

I sure do love it when my cards are well costed and versatile. Handy little card, never useless, works perfectly for what it does.
