I wouldn't make it a Bird, but it has become a customary thing for Wizards to grant mounted warriors the "knight" type.

Besides the obvious overcost, the flavor is way messed up.

Why is this not a bird in addition to its other creature types? I realize the captain provides the name of the card, but the falcon is the focus of the art and the obvious source of the flying and power/toughness.
