It's not strictly worse than Forest because Forest can't let you cast three-mana spells on turn 3. Sure, in most cases it's worse than forest, but not strictly worse.

Lands like these are an obvious trade-off, and whether or not it is useful for you should be determined by your personal play preferences.
But there's one problem: they're non-basic, which is almost always a liability, and limits synergy with other cards. Yet you could also argue that they prevent landwalk, so... Whatever. Take it if you like it.

With Llanowar Elves, Fyndhorn Elves, Birds of Paradise, 2 million landfetching instants or sorceries Green doesn't need that kind of ramp. Strictly worse than Forest.
