I used to run this card with Verdant Succession. Soultiller dies, I put all my elves that are in my graveyard back to my deck. If a wrath of god type effect killed my elves, with soultiller and succession, I would put them all back onto the field. Gets better if Wirewood Herald was on the field for some tutoring.
Soultiller can be a fun card.

A 5/4 elf? Unlike elvish aberration he doesn't seem like some super mutant either.
Well anyway, good card for casual elf decks.

@mrredhatter
Yes. You can shuffle Elvish Soultiller since its ability activates after it goes to graveyard.
(at least by my understanding of the rules)
Hmm . . I don't know if this guy is really useful or not.
Reusing the creatures are great, but shuffling back to the deck is . . kind of disappointing.
Returning one randomly to hand, increasing the p/t or something along that line would have made me happier .
3/5

I think he's good only for the 5/4 body on an elf, really.

I take it that he can shuffle himself back inside the deck?

I love this guy. Primarily because he and Heedless One were the rares in my first ever Magic purchase. In retrospect, you got a lot more in a theme deck back in the day, since that deck came with multiple Wellwishers.
