Strictly better than Sea Serpent. It doesn't die when you don't control an island!

Another case of art wasted on a terrible card that will see no play.

I'm having trouble seeing how it's not STRICTLY worse than sea monster... It gets under ensnaring bridge easier? =/
However, saying it's strictly better than sea serpent is dumb. Sea Serpent only costs one blue, this costs two. So it's easier to get out. Sea Serpent can't be stolen by non-blue decks with things like Act of Treason, Threaten, etc.
I really wish people would stop using "strictly better/worse" arguments. There are very, VERY few cases where it really applies.

Sailors fear the serpent because it has a cmc of six and its a 5/5 creature that can only attack players with islands; others spite the Gods for allowing this card to exist.

This drawback on most big creatures is what keeps me from playing blue.

Aquitect's Will If you use merfolk, you get a card, otherwise: Spreading Seas
Sea's Claim For the 1cmc enchantment
Quicksilver Fountain to turn all of your opponents lands into islands :D
Purely abusable in the right deck.
