The flavor text author is very confused about how to swing an axe, or how to use a broom. I'm not sure which.

Best flavor text. "Catch!" is too damned smug. I like to see a bit of flavor in flavor text.

Edit: Okay, maybe Salient is right.

lol When I started to play MTG ~12 years ago, I thought this was the best card EVER. Oh, I was so naive then. xD That explains why I now have about ten of these cards now. -_-"

That said, the Portal artwork of this card is by far the best of all version, IMO.

haha in portal you werent alowed to target yourself with this, on the plus side the portal version doesn't target so it can get around player shroud.

This card was my very first...and I love it to this day. This art may not have the dynamic 'oomph' of getting smacked with a hammer, but it's still my favorite if just for the beauty and detail of an axe made of hardened lava.

Bring back Portal Art!!!

Though M11's flavor text was bad, this is downright awful. Comparing axes made of lava to mundane household objects isn't a winning formula for flavor...

I see what they did there!
