The staple main card of my Black Zombie deck for years. Not only is he cheap for his basic stats (being a 3/2 for 2BB) but he not only strengthen's virtually every creature in my deck. (Festering Goblin is now a 3/2, Gravecrawler a 4/2, ect) but he helps accelerate the rest of the army coming out. (paying 4 for Noxious Ghoul Corpse Harvester quickly adds up the advantage) Where he really shines is with things like Unbreathing Horde which remains in play with 0 counters and can't take damge anymore, or evasive creatures like Severed Legion also handy if you have 4 out to end things with a 3 mana Zombie Brute.
That being said, Undead Warcheif tends to eat a lot of damage or removal spells. Of course, that can be exactly what you want at times. A Path to Exile spent on him is unavailble for other things like Phag... (see all)

One of the better chiefs (Unholy Strength to you all!), with the unexpected side effect of making Nameless Inversion 1 mana.

ive used this many times to win in a few zombie decks, works particularly well in artifact nim decks too!

OH MY GOD, MASTER OF ETHERIUM MADE A POST THAT DIDN'T HAVE THE FIRST LETTER OF EVERY WORD CAPITALIZED! Of course, he then went and ruined it by just quoting the flavor-text everyone can read anyways, but still, it's progress.

Do seven combined men have only three power? Awesome card though. 5/5

It has the strength of seven men. In fact, it used to be seven men.
