4x Daru Warchief, 2x Ajani Goldmane, and 4x Field Marshal are great for a fast soldier deck with lots of low-cost first strikers. See how many people attack you with creatures when you have beefed-up first strikers; not too many. Granted, burn tears up this deck.

This is Field Marshal's best pal. These two guys together with some other of their friends like Preeminent Captain, Commander Eesha and Phantom Flock can cause really serious troubles to the opponent.
This guy has won many battles for me in both standard and extended and has gained my respect in the battlefield :). I will really miss him, soldier decks are just not the same without him around... i wish it is reprinted

@boneclub Oh never noticed that, pretty cool =) I honestly believe that for a soldier deck this guy is the best out there. Whenever I play him everyone in my playgroup sits up and starts looking for some relevant removal, best compliment for a creature I guess ^^

@Hentai
Undead Warchief also has 1 toughness.
This card is is perfect for soldier decks, helping you get out more expensive lords like Captain of the Watch a turn earlier while beefing up your other soldiers and itself along the way.

One of my favorite measurements of lord quality is how good they are in multiples. The old landwalk lords weren't so great. This is incredible.

This guy is a house in my casual soldier deck. Turn 2 Ballyrush Banneret, turn 3 Daru Warchief, turn 4 Captain of the Watch. Game over, unless the opponent has Day of Judgment or a similar effect. 5/5.

Undead Warchief and Daru Warchief do not say other creatures therefore they buff buff themselves making Undead a 3/2 and Daru a 2/3. Boy oh boy do they laugh at the rest of the Warchiefs...

The only bad thing about Daru Warchiefs, in my mind, is how often they get countered when I try to play them. That's how afraid of this card my friends became after I built a white Soldier deck around four copies of it. Being able to answer the question "What power and toughness is that 1/1 Soldier token now?" with "5/9" (or greater; I run two Oathsworn Giants in that deck, too, not to mention Glorious Anthem) is a wonderful feeling.

The warchiefs are not wearing the moxen, they are wearing the Medallion cycle. This guy is wearing Pearl Medallion, and gives all his soldiers Holy Strength, whereas his black counterpart gives them Unholy Strength. Nice touch!
