pyrohemia would probably work better as it could then be a G/R aggro deck with burn support, but both generally work well.

If you do not intend to abuse the mechanic, this guy is near useless.

He may have been errata'd to a "Fungus Lizard" subtype...but he's still a Fungasaur at heart! As an addition to a possible {R}/{G} Pyrohemia combo, you can also consider Flame Jab to pitch those pesty lands that can slow down an aggro deck, also although it's not the best card it can help get those last few points of damage in.
