Not that bad. Think of it as a better healing salve (use those pokies or over 1/1s to block). And its an instant!

Very situational, but could net you some decent creature advantage if used correctly, like when your opponent expects to trade or get some trample damage through.

Damage tramples over your blockers, even if you cast Redeem targeting them, if they haven't got a high enough toughness.

I liked the old wording better. "One or two creatures." It just felt like they were saying "You know, like, uh, a couple creatures or something."

This would be nice a nice heroic enabler/trigger on Theros block. Would a version costing only White be overpowered in this context, maybe?
