I need this card! Thanks to Joraga Treespeaker this guy rocks. Jorga max-level, Lightning Greaves then play this guy, equip the greaves, then tap him, then get the other one, then repeat. Next turn, you have an insane amount of mana. Not to mention something like this is great when you consider using it with Coat of Arms.

This card doesn't combo with Joraga Treespeaker and Lightning Greaves, because you can't equip as an instant, so you can't do it in response to the Sentinel's ability hitting the stack. Try Thousand-year Elixir instead.

The way to make that combo work is with Earthcraft and Wild Growth. No need to level up, no need to equip the booties. You can call all of your Sentinels on turn 2 if you work it right.

Sadly, TAGVoar, you can't do that. Here's what happens:
Sentinel enters the battlefield- (it has summoning sickness)
Sentinel's ETB ability triggers, goes on the stack-
You CANNOT equip Lightning Greaves at this point, because it is a sorcery-speed ability, and the stack is not empty. You will have to wait for the ability to resolve, which can have one of 2 outcomes:
A) You somehow pay for the ability by other means, another Sentinel comes into play, its ETB effect immediately goes on the stack, and you have the same problem as before, or
B) You don't pay for the ability, don't get another Sentinel, and nothing happens.
Your combo works if you use something like Concordant Crossroads or Thousand-Year Elixir instead.

As long as you have a comfortable cushion of mana already, Food Chain lets you string out a whole chain of the Sentinels for a bunch of free mana.
