FFXIK: pumaman and holgir are correct. Tokens cease to exist if they end up in any zone other than the battlefield (owner's hand or graveyard, usually), but they DO trigger any applicable abilities before disappearing. So, zombie tokens from Tombstone Stairwell or Zombie Infestation would trigger Vengeful Dead's ability if they were destroyed by the Stairwell leaving play or if they were sacked by Nantuko Husk's ability, as GruesomeGoo suggested. They would not, however, count toward Mortivore's P/T or any other card that cared about the number of creatures in a graveyard, because they would no longer exist once they leave play. Even a "flicker" effect, like Venser, the Sojourner's first ability would effectively exile token permanents, permanently.

If it dies at the same time as 20 other creatures (Day of Judgment) will it give me 21 life and essentially kill my opponent?

@FFXIK Actually tokens trigger "put into graveyard" effects before they cease to exist. Thus the Tombstone Stairwell should work.

@FFXIK
110.5f A token that’s phased out, or that’s in a zone other than the battlefield, ceases to exist. This is a state-based action; see rule 704. (Note that if a token changes zones, applicable triggered abilities will trigger before the token ceases to exist.)

It's very useful with the Gempalm Pulluter ability, and gives a real plus to the sacrifice of 1/1 zombie creatures.

The rules I was quoting from were quite old. "If any effect takes a token out of play, remove it from the game. You can't send a token to the graveyard, return it to your hand, or otherwise maintain it out of play.
That excerpt is taken from a rules insert in the Ice Age expansion. Proof that I was out of the loop for far to long and proved my ignorance on the newer rule revisions that have come about since then. I have since gotten quite familliar with the rulebook in hope to keep this kind of thing from happening again.
