Since it doesn't target the creature, it can be used to deal with Emrakul, the Aeons Torn.

Also good against reanimator in Type 1

Very good in Type 1. It's one of the few cards that can stop Progenitus or Empyrial Archangel once it's been Oathed out.

Excellent card for keeping creatures honest. A great followup play on your turn after an opponent has reanimated or tapped out for a huge threat, and as mentioned before, it does not target, so it can kill creatures with protection, shroud, hexproof, or are indestructible. Furthermore, this isn't a bad card to use when you have no creatures, or if you just have some white weenies who you can easily pay for. I also love the flavor of being "luxury taxed" for your biggest beaters!
