He works well with a Dead-Iron Sledge, though.

It already costs four to cast, why does the activated ability have ot cost three? Had it cost two or something, the duskworker would have been far more useful.

The ability is overcosted (3 mana just for +1/+0?!) but the auto-regen is interesting.

That body for is pretty weak, but he has two interesting abilities. Lets take a look.
for +1/0 is not too good. But if you have no other plays, can be something to spend your mana on. Plus swinging with this, and 3 untapped lands could prevent them from blocking with their x/3 creature.
Regeneration when hes blocked makes this an aggressive creature. The two abilities sink up well to ensure at least a shock every turn. Remember you dont have to dump mana into a pump, just having the threat can be enough of a deterrent from getting blocked.
Overall I think this is a well designed creature. Not the scariest thing in the world, but he can become a problem in the hands of a good magic player.
