Printed to hose Mindslaver, obviously. After all, why should goblins be vulnerable to brainwashing effects when they don't have brains to wash?

"How about this new Goblin I made? Pretty nice, huh?" "A 1mana 1/1? Wow, that's a little crazy don't you think? Now let's not go over board here, give it a draw back. We don't want to incite a riot with a 1mana 1/1! That's just too much!"

just in case after perusing through all mirrodin had to offer and you thought, "did they play test this stuff?"... you can still ask this about this card too, seriously, would this have been bonkers as a 1/2 or something?

@ StoneEvolution
You only have 60 cards in a deck, so you want the best cards you can get. This guy is just really, really bad when compared to other cards you could use. Like Raging goblin, 1/1 for 1 mana but with haste. Or anything.

Strictly worse than a vanilla 1/1. And the rating (.921) is worth it.

Consider: For not just the same price but in the same tribe, you can have Goblin Welder, one of the highest-rated cards on Gatherer.

A simple 1/1 one-drop with a drawback? Seriously, what the heck?...
Anyways, i'd like to see this as a keyword ability. Something like "Bellicosity" would be nice i guess. This would enable abilities that refer to creatures with that ability, and as such also interesting effects that give advantages to this drawback. Then this guy could even find use in a deck.

How did this even seen print?
Did somebody say, "Wow, those Mon's Goblin Raiders are really powerful! We need to tone them down?!"
Goes great in a Chimney Imp and Mindless Null deck?!

Strictly worse than Mons's Goblin Raiders, which is strictly worse than Raging Goblin... which is worse than Goblin Guide in most cases. And for fans of un-sets, Mons's Goblin Raiders are also strictly worse than their Waiter counterparts.
Seriously, this card is shit. Yes, Guide is a rare, but Raiders and Raging are both commons. There's really no excuse.

I love how Mirrodin has some of the most powerful spells in the game...and then it has this and Chimney Imp. While this card DOES take an overpowered card like Mons's Goblin Raiders and gives it a drawback to make it less broken, I don't believe this card is as well made as Chimney Imp.
