Power Conduit also turns this into an extra Energy Chamber of sorts. These can get a lot of counters very quickly in an artifact deck.

Playing one artifact every two turns can pretty much make this entirely worth it. You might not have 3 extra mana every artifact, but you sure as hell will at some point.

i love the simplicity of it all. in an artifact deck this card is simply amazing, allowing for extra card draws for little cost
