I disagree that this isn't main-deck material. Even if it only hits one creature, you still have a spot removal that is almost as effective as Disfigure. Amazing card, especially since even non-token decks frequently run multiples of the same creature.

In the right situations, this card is really useful. Obviously, it murders most token strategies. But besides that, it can be beneficial in a well-known metagame. If a good portion of your friends' creatures have less than three toughness, Echoing Decay is no less limited in what it can kill than a Terror or Doom Blade. You may even catch an opponent playing two of the same card at once, and get a two-for one. In mulitplayer, it could even be multiple creatures owned by seperate opponents -- that would be a moment to gloat!
