Regenerates without requiring you to keep mana open, allows you to play madness cards, clears your hand for hellbent, gives you threshold easily and doesn't require any color to be played. Not perfect, but ok in some decks.

There are better cards that enable madness, hellbent is overrated and threshold is too unrewarding. AND FOR CHRISTS' SAKE HAVING TO DO ANYTHING OTHER THAN PAYING MANA FOR REGENERATION IS GARBAGE COME ON PEOPLE REGENERATION ISN'T EVEN THAT USEFUL OF AN ABILITY.
