One of the original lifegain cards. Lifegain has improved a lot over Magic's history.

This was never broken. It may have been considered powerful, but never broken.

This may have been considered powerful, but this was never powerful outside of middle school cafeterias. Life gain has improved, but it still isn't good and never will be. Good life gain = long games = too many games cut short (or delays) at organized play.

Nourish is better unless you use 8 mana. If you're using 8 mana, you should cast something else (hopefully not Taste of Paradise, but even that would be a better idea).

This and false cure are fun for angering people at multiplayer games...

Player A: "I'll help you out... Stream of life for 5 targeting you."
Player B: Well, that'll get me up to 15... that's enough for me t-
Player A: And... False Cure.
Player B: F*&*!
Player C-H: HAHAHAHAHAH!
