In a WB life gain deck, this wouldn't be too bad. It's just got an annoying CMC, otherwise, you could get it out when you've got 40 health or something and pay 21 for 7 +1/+1's.
You could transfer the counters to something else or something, or even use this to setup Near-Death Experience or whatever. Get to 22 health and hope your opponent doesn't burn you up as you use the skill 7 times in a row so you'll probably want to use Emperion if you want to use that much mana or simply Worship to prevent life loss beyond 1.

Normally I would lul massive amounts at the flavor text, but I don't think Magic cards should reference modern vehicles OR provide corny flavor text for really creepy art.

I like the art. The card is so-so. It works great if you can give it persist, since you can get rid of any -1/-1 counters easily. You can also donate it to an opponent and mindslaver him, and then suck all (or most) of his life away with this guy. It's also immune to most damage spells and hard to kill in combat.
If I'd build a black and white deck about gaining life, I'd probably add this guy, since lifegain by itself is not that useful, he can turn the life gained into damage.

Outside of combo / lifegain it is pretty terrible. To get to 4/4 for 4 status, this sucker costs you 6 life. 3/3 for 4 would be a lot more acceptable, but creatures were weaker back then.
