Compare to Frost Titan, same P/T and mana cost, but a costly mythic rare that you need to go out of your way to obtain, instead of a fair and interesting creature to play against your friends with that you can, and probably do, obtain easily.
Don't bash Sea Monster. He's a classic, well-balanced for blue, and fun to play around with.

Really not that bad. 6 CMC for a 6/6 is fair, and blue isn't getting beef like that without a drawback.
