Pauper format loves this card :) Diabolic Edict too. Thank you Tempest for making amazing commons.

This card is monstrous.

Besides, we have plenty of cards with "rock" in the name, but not nearly enough "roll" cards.

This, Diabolic Edict, Lotus Petal......when I was a kid I didn't have a bunch of money to spend on cards, but when I scraped a few bucks together for a Tempest booster I knew I was going to come away with something outstanding just out of the commons. Just a great, great time in the game's history, IMHO.

I'm glad to see the favorable comments about Tempest. I came into the game shortly before this set was released, and I thought that not too many years following this set/block, the game began to go downhill - in my opinion, pretty much when tribes began to dominate card and game design. :\

Although, I guess Tempest ushered slivers into the game, which helped initiate the wave of tribes about two or three years later, it seems. Oh well. At least at Tempest, slivers really weren't unstoppable, other tribes hadn't been developed, and, beyond slivers, the set was very fun to play.

This is such an awesome card at common and much more efficient than Fireball in all cases involving more than two targets.

One of the best X-spells in the game, I'd say. You can get some serious card advantage out of this puppy, and hit your opponent, too!

Sure, I will agree that it is more efficient than fireball...but it doesn't have the *history* that fireball has.
