It needs trample something fierce...solve that, though, and this guy can get real nasty in multiplayer :P

Vorrac Battlehorns helps him out a bit.

This could be interesting in a casual deck with this, Mesmeric Orb, Gideon's Avenger, Gideon's Lawkeeper, and some support as a "damned if you do, damned if you don't" psychological deck

I don't get how everyone seems to hate this card so much...Sure, he doesn't have trample, but for 5 mana, both you and your opponent(s) are gonna have at least a few cards that won't tap all that much (Serra Angel, anyone?). Give him flying, trample, anything, and he's even awesomer, but just on his own he's certainly a force to be reckoned with, especially if you play him late-game.

suffers with the loss of mana burn. Could be a diplomatic tool in multiplayer though. You offer to attack one player if everyone else leaves everything untapped.

I remember this guy being quite the beating in limited. Always at least 5/5 on attack. Usually bigger. The loss of mana burn did make this a better game but I pity this guy.

This card died in multiplayer formats when they removed mana burn. It went from 'just another fattie without evasion' to 'just another midsized creature without evasion'.

Awesome in multiplayer, especially if you can suddenly give it trample :D

Works great in EDH, 6 to 8 players on turn 4 nets you a 20/20 or 28/28 assuming only lands were played lands were played.
