The artwork on this is pretty sad. I usually don't rate cards on artwork but I took off a 1/2 star for the art on this.

Looks good in draft. There's better. Much better. Always has been (I'd rather Run Shivan). But a 4/5 is still nothing to scoff at. Imagine dropping him in an M10 draft.

i know there are a hundred other factors, even in early magic, but i feel like the art for earth elemental vs the art for fire elemental played a part in solidifying the first, and most definite, piece of the color pie: red aggro
