Has no one ever used this with Umezawa's Jitte?...
I used to, until my playing group became vastly unamused.

This, Voltaic Construct, and Everflowing Chalice form a frighteningly effective, extremely cheap mana factory. Bonus points if you use the Locus lands or the Urzatron as well.

I like how you can put charge counters on cards that don't interact with them at all.

My friend made a really annoying deck involving these, proliferate ablilities, voltaic keys, and Darksteel Reactor. I almost threw him across the table.

It's so interesting to see all of the Johnnies on here praising Coretapper. However, Coretapper is also a Spike card. It was part T8 lists for many Vintage tournaments - 100+ people tournaments.

Why? As sick sick tech vs. Chalice of the Void
As a Spike, I feel the need to bow down in awe to Johnny's ingenuity.

I cannot believe anyone would fail to give this 5/5,
it is an obvious cheap combo piece, it will almost never fail you, it can always be sacrificed to add counters to artifacts. many many many ways to break it

Play with a buncha Energy Chambers and Magistrate's Scepters, and take infinite turns.

Works rather well with Door of Destinies in a Myr deck.
