Metaphorically speaking,

People tend to scoff at this card at first, but it does quickly earn some respect.

Beautiful, works against white white weenie, cheaper than most sweepers. Fun combo with things like Temporary Insanity or Dominus of Fealty

I really like this.
In the right circumstances, can be a one sided wrath for one creature.
Still can clear the board nicely otherwise.
Unfortunately, doesn't kill Silver Knight or White Knight, but we can't have everything, can we?
Very good:

Ah! Corpse explosion! Kind of.
Pretty sweet; though I'd prefer if it hit creatures and plays. Anger of the Gods is a sort-of replacement, but only if you can't benefit from your stuff dying (but you're in RB, you should have a way :D)

This card might as well be 1BR, 3 damage to every creature. Think about it, you can just sacrifice a creature that it would kill anyways to play it.

the sac a creature isn't really so much a cost as a way to ensure that you can't cast this without having any creatures on the field. Otherwise this would be, well maybe not broken, but format defining and (wrath of) god-like. It would be the defining cost of board sweepers- 3 mana, using 2 colors.

I didn't read the card type at first, and I thought it was an enchantment. Which would have made this a godly card.

No, because sacrificing a creature is part of its casting cost, and it can still be countered while still on the stack.
