Great with green's 'Big Creatures' strategy. Beastmaster Ascension is the perfect combo partner for this.

In a mono-green stompy deck, I'd much rather run Roughshod Mentor. Gives all your stuff trample, and is a decent beater to boot. 2-fer-1 is always better.

I like this better than Roughshod Mentor. It's faster and in EDH, enchantments I find are usually harder to get rid of than creatures.

I'd usually prefer Brawn, but it's certainly decent.
