As of now, underrated.
As mentioned, with a deck featuring Darkest Hour, he's usable in a nearly creatureless monoblack deck or a two-color deck with few other creatures, and is above the curve for black (especially if you consider him a 5/4 relative to everything else).

Awesome that he has the creature type 'giant minion'. I think if I owned the card I'd just be using it in a creatureless/light black control deck, if at all. Don't have anything to combo it with.
