I'm considering making my own 'edited' version of Beta set in MSE.
Goal is to Make it
a) possible to play Limited with
b) possible for Constructed decks to not have to choose between 'broken or suck'
c) add things like Legendary that should have been in the game from the beginning
d) not only weaken some of the cards that need weakening (Balance, anyone?), but also push, just slightly, cards that deserve to look more impressive. Thinking especially about Lord of the Pit, Shivan Dragon, and Serra Angel.
It will be very difficult to keep them in-flavor, make them 'dressed to impress', and ALSO avoid making overpushed designs like Baneslayer. But if I can do it, I think the 're-vamped' cards could be aMAZing.
So in regards to Armageddon--I think it is actually a card that would be ok to leave almost as is. The effect can be a game-winner, can even be back-breaking, but is not particularly vicious: i.e., there are many options that you can use to play around it, including countermagic, ... (see all)

With proper use, this is simply great, especially after crippling your opponent by killing most of their creatures.
With improper use, this will simply make everyone hate you.

This card's comment page is one of the best!
I, for one, love the totally random comments of Master, unlike some other troll that are only annoying. Overall, I like the absolutely random drugs comments of him!
And, DarthParallax, I would download it too! If I have to do something like that, I would do a couple of changes: Armageddon in red (maybe make it costs 
) and Damnation instead of Wrath of God. It would be more flavour, in my opinion!
For the card itself, beside should be red like I've just said, it should cost a little more. Like this, it's too easy to get a great board position with all the fast white creatures, and then stop any further development for the next 3-4 turns...
Great classic!
