If there was a "fun factor" list of MTG cards, this surely would be there. Anyway, this is good with Pandemonium, or even Fervor. I still like the colours contrast.

IMHO two cards isn't combo and this goes with Fervor very well. If this had haste you'd give it 5/5 without a blink, but when you have to supply the haste you think it stinks.
Don't wait for given answers.

Cool combo card at worst, cheap beater for maybe a turn or two at best. It needs to work with something else to be worth putting in a deck. So let's say you have a Garruk's Packleader or two out, you play this, draw, lose the flip next turn just to play it again, draw. Hooray midgame card advantage. Goes just as well with any other combo where something desirable happens when a big creature comes out. Splashable too since it only requires one red mana.
With Where Ancients Tread you can also hit something/somebody for five damage each time you put this out.

Really awesome flavor text. And I'm not just saying that because I like the word 'ululating'

Sure, could be cheaper.
Or bigger.
Or have trample.
Or haste.
But it is still good!
Sure, you have to give it haste, and possibly (read: Almost certainly) recast it.
But it's fun (as Anderlfs mentioned).
And that is why I run it.
In my chance encounter deck (yes Twistedsoul, they can work. The trick is ensuring a Mirror Gallery and multiple Krark's thumbs. I splash blue. Bonus: Squee's revenge!)
I love it, and the whole coin flip mechanic.
3/5
(Because even if I love it, I can't give it a four).

So that's why we pay echo costs in Urza's block....
